I liked the fact that Ms. Soard built the emotions of her characters so well that I was able to visuallize Jenna falling in love with Slade. In fact, I enjoyed reading about both the heroine and hero falling in love with each other despite the silly books.

For several years now, I've wanted to write more children's and young adult fiction.  My oldest daughter and I have worked on several projects together, including one called Wolf Highway, which we expect to have completed soon.  Now, my younger daughter is growing interested in writing as well, so Celeste Pearl is a family endeavor.  In the next few months, we are going to debut a new website that will feature an ongoing series.  This website will be free to you, our reader, and will also offer educational support materials for teachers and home schooling parents.

We decided to use the name "Celeste Pearl" because it was my great-grandmother's first and middle names.  I think it is absolutely beautiful and my children agreed.  Check back often for updates about Celeste Pearl.  God bless!
