Dear Reader, For several years now, I've wanted to write more children's and young adult fiction. My oldest daughter and I have worked on several projects together, including one called Wolf Highway, which we expect to have completed soon. Now, my younger daughter is growing interested in writing as well, so Celeste Pearl is a family endeavor. In the next few months, we are going to debut a new website that will feature an ongoing series. This website will be free to you, our reader, and will also offer educational support materials for teachers and home schooling parents. We decided to use the name "Celeste Pearl" because it was my great-grandmother's first and middle names. I think it is absolutely beautiful and my children agreed. Check back often for updates about Celeste Pearl. God bless! Lori, Caitlin & Hailey Soard

The Elixir
by Lori Soard The dark parking garage with the dead body of his friend and mentor only begins Jake Walker's problems. Soon, he is the prime suspect in Benjamin Monroe's murder and worried that his best friend, Ben's daughter, will believe the worst. Celeste doesn't know who killed her father but she does know one thing—it wasn't Jake. As she and Jake set out to find the killer, they discover that her father unlocked the code to a fountain of youth formula. Anyone who wanted the formula could have killed him, and it was worth millions. During their investigation, they uncover more facts and more bodies. Because they show up at every crime scene, the detectives investigating the case suspect Celeste and Jake of murder. The two go on the run until they can clear their names. But, there are more sinister forces at work than either realizes, and the deception runs as deep as the national government... |
Kingdom's
Keys Academya new series by Lori Soard For the last several months, I've had a vision of a website and storyline about a boarding school. I wanted it to seem almost real to readers and I think the website accomplishes that. The first book in this series will be released this coming summer ('06). What's really unique about this project is that the download will be completely free. There will also be educational resources to go along with each book. I honestly feel as though I've been called to write this series and the more I thought about it, the more I got the message that it shouldn't cost anything for readers to read the e-books. Of course, I'm a working writing, and have to make a living, so if you like the series, I hope you'll buy my other books as well. The
Lipstick Diariesby Lori Soard In grade school, Kate, Sarah and Rebecca discovered they were best friends. In seventh grade, they discovered makeup and began a diary of their important moments, "signed" in their own shade of lipstick. In high school, they discovered boys. Now the three are staring their thirtieth birthdays right in the face and determined to do something about where their lives are going. From mothers who gripe about their unmarried state to bosses who don't take them seriously, to ticking biological clocks - the girls don't want to care what others think but are tired of being seen as those almost-thirty-something singles. When an unwanted and definitely unexpected wedding invitation arrives, it sends the three of them on an adventure to save the blushing bride from the biggest mistake of her life. Using tests taught to them by Kate's great-grandmother, they begin a wacky search for the perfect man. But even if one of them finds love, will the man be able to live up to the strict qualifications in the lipstick diaries? |

Housebreaking
A Husbandby Lori Soard Take four furry feet, two toddlers, a loving uncle, add the lady next door, stir in some peanut butter and it's a recipe for mayhem. And surprisingly enough, sometimes love sneaks up on you when you least expect it. At least that's what happens to Trent and Sarah in Housebreaking A Husband.
...best book to date. The characters are real enough
to jump off the page and her witty style kept me turning pages until
late into the night. Lori Soard is an author to keep your eye on.
