Hello!  I first got interested in web design in 1995. To the left is a picture of me that year at the conference that started me on this journey. I can remember how excited I was when I purchased my first HTML productivity software and began reading books about web design.  Much of what I've learned has been self-taught, I have taken a few courses, and I'm always open to learning more.  CGI programs are something I finally mastered and I'm now learning the intricacies of PHP and SQL.  Although my full-time job is writing and teaching, I enjoy helping others put together websites that reflect their unique personalities and talents in my spare time.  I've also worked as a copyeditor and have a Bachelor's in English Education and a Ph.D. in Journalism and Creative Writing.  Because of this background, it is very important to me that each site be checked over carefully for any errors.  I can provide hosting tied into the new website, if you are looking for a complete solution.  I submit all sites I design to search engines and send out press releases.  I also announce the site in my monthly newsletter, which goes out to over 10,000 online readers.
